Taking Paid Surveys

Upon my entrance into the world of internet sales marketing, I signed up for all kinds of stuff using my newly created email address. I was bombarded with a lot of mail from people and sites all promising the same thing...instant wealth. Well over half of them were for taking paid surveys. There were dozens of 'em in my inbox, and dozens of 'em in my spam folder. I had a blast. I was internet marketing. For a solid month I spent hours everyday reading emails. Didn't delete any of 'em either. Might come in handy down the road. Never can tell when an extra $10,000 a month on 12 minutes a day of work will come in handy. Ever heard anything so ridiculous in all your life?

Not getting anywhere after the first month, (due to spending hours reading emails)I decided to see exactly how much money I could make taking paid surveys so, I signed up to a bunch of survey sites promoted...through email. All that's required is to sign up (with your email address of course) and the sites would email the day's survey. Sometimes I would get 2 or 3 from the same site. My new occupation was gonna be...getting paid to do surveys. First, I would have to complete a survey to see if I qualified for the REAL survey. The one that paid. Somehow, I rarely qualified for the surveys paying more than a quarter. One of the more reputable( no kidding, they really are) sites pays you a 10 dollar bonus for signing up and once you accumulate $25 you get paid. This website, I can't remember the name, will send out several surveys a day, and upon completion of each survey, 2 cents was put into my account... 2 cents... Let's crunch a couple of numbers. Each survey takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Very easy. At 5 minutes per survey, the best I could do was 12 surveys in an hour. So, 12 surveys times 2 cents each is...24 cents. For a solid hour of work. That works out to $1.92 for an eight hour day. When's the last time you worked for 24 cents an hour? Anybody? Needless to say, I looked for something a little more substantial after about two weeks.

If you would like to look into taking paid surveys to generate a little spending cash, there are some better paying survey sites than that but, I never could qualify for 'em. However, if you're interested in surveys to make money online, register with Survey Police. It's an excellent forum for websites making money and the best site I know of for information on taking paid surveys. Whatever you do, don't pay for a list of paid survey sites. And you'll get plenty of offers. I still do and haven't taken a survey in months. All that information is available for free. Just takes a little research.

Gotta go. I've got housework to do. I'm an official househusband.

Take your time, do the research, and learn everything you can as you hunt for websites making money.

To your success

Websites Making Money

Since joining the ranks of the unemployed,December 2007, I started reading everything I could pertaining to websites making money. With my income suddenly cut off and no prospects in sight down here in the Sunshine State, I knew I would have to come up with something to bring in a little bill money.

My employment background did not lend itself to computer literacy. My computer experience was limited to electronic parts catalogs and purchasing auto parts online with preset factory programs. I had no blogging experience, even email gave me fits. The best thing I had going for me, I enjoy reading and research. But, I was not prepared for the sheer volume of material, online and off, that covered websites making money, internet sales marketing, home based businesses com, and all of the other sites devoted to the make money earn money online business.

My introduction to blogging came from an article in Entrepreneur magazine about a guy making $30,000 a month writing about everyday events in his life. That's about the time I gave up the magazines and started doing what I swore I would never do...surf the internet. Just a necessary evil until I started reading about real people making a living online. Work at home Moms, out of work Dads, grandparents without much in the way of retirement, all seemed to be supplementing their income in a thousand different ways on the internet. I figured if they could, why not me? So now the number one question on mind was...how do I start blogging?

Possessing at least enough sense to create a separate email address for my internet based home business, I discovered, if you sign up for it, they will email you...constantly, along with their fellow opportunists. After signing up for information on a site that was gonna' make me "rich beyond my wildest dreams", I started receiving 75 to 100 emails a day promising or even guaranteeing thousands of dollars a month if I signed up for their system. Costing anywhere from $7 to $997,(everything has a 7 in it), these people were gonna make my life one long cocktail party. I might've been born at night but, it wasn't last night. Besides, I'm a tightwad. Needless to say, I didn't fall for any of that crap. I'm way to analytical, plus...(see tightwad above).

My internet sales marketing adventure is now seven months old and I've actually made a few dollars. Nothing to write home about yet but, I have learned I can do this and armed with that knowledge I know I can, with a lot of hard work, make a living online, right from my own home. I've actually found a few websites making money that I will share with you in future posts. Main thing is...don't give up.

To your success,
Rick
